Beverly Sue Ruff, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Saint Mary, Missouri.

She was born July 29, 1948, in St. Charles, Missouri, to Lawrence Edward and Zelma Mae Lockheart Pettig. She and Greg Ruff were married May 30, 1992, in Bloomfield, Missouri.

She was formerly a member of Word of Faith Christian Center in Bernie, Missouri.

Beverly loved to spoil her grandchildren. She loved her family and was always thinking of them. She also had a passion toward charities in need.

Survivors include her husband, Greg Ruff of Cape Girardeau; son, Reo (Kathleen Windeknecht) Smith of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Tamara Loveland of New Haven, Missouri, and Candance (Chris) Spraul of Saint Mary; brother, Jerry Pettig of Troy, Missouri; and grandchildren, Eric Wheeling, Christian Gibbs, Chyann Gibbs, Destiny Earnhardt, Ethan Hagler, Hayden Hale, Jaxstyn Hale, Becca Ruff, Terry Ruff, Kaylee Wheeling and Jacob Wheeling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence Edward, Carl, John and Douglas Pettig; sister, Gloria Heidbrink; and son-in-law, Scott Deutschmann.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Chaplain Benjamin Chapman officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Lung Association.
