On Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, Jude Thomas-Andrew Class went home to be with Jesus at the age of 13 years.

He was born June 12, 2007, to Joe and Staci Class of Cape Girardeau.

An old, unassuming soul, Jude was loved by all. His uncanny wit, words of wisdom, and his acceptance of everyone touched many lives. People were drawn to him -- even though he tried to avoid the spotlight. His dry humor, kind eyes, and comprehensive knowledge for just about anything made him a must-have for any gathering or conversation. He faithfully served on the tech team at La Croix church and virtually hung out with his crew from the gaming club at Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School. He loved writing songs with his best friend, Vincent; baking; and playing cards. But what he most enjoyed was spending time with his family. An avid artist and musician, Jude aspired to be an animator and bass player. Jude loved dogs, often saying, "They're just easier than humans," and never met a dog that didn't melt his heart. He enjoyed classic rock, loving Queen, Elton John and, of course, the Beatles.

Jude is survived by his loving mother and father; siblings, Katie Claar, Jacob Class, Riley Smith, Joey and Isabella; nephew, Bradyn Hahn; paternal grandfather and grandmother, Joe and Lori Class; maternal grandfather, Bob Stevens; aunts and uncles, Tam Maddock, Tracy (Steve) Kain, Chad Mauk, Jon (Jenn) Class, Aaron (Marissa) Class and Tyler Class; and cousins, Kat Maddock, Sadie (Trevor) Proffer, Matthew Earney, Anthony Kain, Amelia Seaton, Ben Proffer, Rachel, Adele, and Andrew Class; and loving dog, Kellyn.
