He loved to take walks and visit with family and friends. His favorite color was blue and had a very soft spot in his heart for dogs and horses. He loved watching movies while enjoying a soda and popcorn. He had a contagious laugh. If you happened to be in the movie theater while Johnie was laughing, everyone was laughing. Listening to music was another favorite pastime.

He enjoyed eating, and the only thing that made the food better was good company. He also had a sweet tooth. Ice cream and anything chocolate would hit the spot. He was never found without a traditional red and white peppermint candy in his pocket. All who knew him loved him. He is in a better place encompassed with the love of his Savior Jesus Christ and all those who loved him.

A graveside service will be held today at Cape County Memorial Park.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.

Online condolences may be shared at www.fordandsonsfuneralhome.com.
