FROHNA, Mo, -- Arnold E. Lorenz, 95, of Frohna passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Missouri. He was born Jan. 31, 1925, in Farrar, Missouri, to Theodore and Clara Kassel Lorenz. He and Milda I. Petzoldt were married Oct. 9, 1948. She preceded him in death May 25, 2005...

FROHNA, Mo, -- Arnold E. Lorenz, 95, of Frohna passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Missouri.

He was born Jan. 31, 1925, in Farrar, Missouri, to Theodore and Clara Kassel Lorenz. He and Milda I. Petzoldt were married Oct. 9, 1948. She preceded him in death May 25, 2005.

Arnold was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific Theater in the Philippines. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 133, served as Legion commander, was a member of VFW Post 4282, Disabled American Veterans Post 45 and retired as production manager at East Perry Lumber. He was also a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing and sharing them with his family.

Survivors include son, Bruce (Karen) Lorenz of Jackson; daughter, Grace (Bob) Zahner of Perryville; sister, Gladys Engert of Altenburg, Missouri; grandchildren, Jonathan (Michelle) Lorenz, Clarissa (Matthew) Bosky and Andrew Lorenz and fiancee Annie Mundloch; stepgrandchildren, Jason (Theresa) Zahner and Jennifer (Jeff) Friedel; great-grandson, Lucas Bosky; and great-stepgrandchildren, Emma and Chloe Zahner, Sierra Combs and Camryn Friedel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Hubert E. Lorenz; and sisters, Alice Wichern and Lucille Fritsche.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Paul Hoemann officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery, with military graveside services by American Legion Post 133 and Delta team.

Memorial contributions may be given to Concordia Lutheran Church and Lutheran Hour Ministries.

Ford and Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
