SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Wayne M. Kiefer, 56, of Sedgewickville passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at his home.

He was born May 27, 1964, in Perryville, Missouri, to Wallace and Mary Lou Prost Kiefer.

He and Karla S. Wilfong were married Oct. 22, 1988, at Patton (Missouri) Presbyterian Church. She survives in Sedgewickville.

Wayne was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Bollinger County. He was the owner of Wayne Kiefer and Sons Construction Co., a rural firefighter for Sedgewickville and Biehle fire districts, farmer for both livestock and agriculture, baseball coach for National Bible College Athletic Association and construction supervisor for the church youth mission trips, and he loved hunting with his family.

Survivors include sons, Chad (Elizabeth) Kiefer of Patton, Trenton (Courtney) Kiefer of Perryville and Tate Kiefer of Sedgewickville; brothers, Leo (Sandy) Kiefer and Ray (Kim) Kiefer, both of Perryville; and sisters, Bonnie (Bob) Riehn of Perryville and Margie (Randy) Sammons of Fenton, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Barron officiating. Burial will be at Crossroads United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Biehle Fire District, Sedgewickville Fire District or Crossroads UMC Building Fund.
