LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Leo Garrett Broshuis, 91, of Leopold went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at the Southeast Hospital.

He was born Dec. 29, 1928, in Lutesville, Missouri, son of Henry A. and Katie Bauer Broshuis. He and Agnes Louise Jansen were united in marriage April 15, 1950.

Leo worked in construction all of his life and worked until retirement for the Leopold School District in the maintenance department and as a school bus driver. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 5898 and St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Agnes Broshuis; sons, John Dale (Debby) Broshuis of Leopold; Russell (Rhonda) Broshuis of Marble Hill, Missouri; Roy (Phyllis) Broshuis of Marble Hill; Richard (Beverly) Broshuis of Leopold; and Lloyd (Tammy) Broshuis of Marble Hill; daughter, Joyce (Paul) Landewee of Leopold; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Broshuis; brothers, Henry, George and John H. Broshuis; sisters, Catherine Pohlman, Lucille Moore and Johannah Whitworth; and grandson, Jeremey Landewee.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Broshuis, John Tyler Broshuis, Derek Broshuis, Donnie Landewee, Ethan Broshuis and Rusty Broshuis.

Funeral Mass for immediate family only will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev David Coon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Liley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
