ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Elvera E. Weber, 97, of Altenburg passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Cape Girardeau to Edwin and Emma Grebing Mueller. She and Ernst W. Weber were married on Nov. 22, 1944, at Baltimore, Maryland. He preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1997...

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Elvera E. Weber, 97, of Altenburg passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Cape Girardeau to Edwin and Emma Grebing Mueller.

She and Ernst W. Weber were married on Nov. 22, 1944, at Baltimore, Maryland. He preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1997.

Elvera was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She loved gardening and flowers.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy (Ron Kraus) Weber of St. Louis and Betty (David) Roth of Altenburg; son, Larry (Barb) Weber of Altenburg; sister, Wanda (Lloyd) Haertling of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Gloria Mueller of Farrar, Missouri; four grandchildren, Missy (Nathan) Adams, Tracey (Ron) Hagan, Landon (Lyndsey) Weber and Ariel Weber (Clint Prevallet); and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Harlan Weber; two brothers, Wilbert and Ralph Mueller; sister, Dorothy Pruesser; and brother-in-law, Albert Pruesser.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Ford and Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
