CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Alma Joan Seabaugh, 80, of Chaffee died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 20, 1940, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to William D. and Beatrice Blackwell Asbridge.

She and Emmett Earl Seabaugh were married Nov. 23, 1959, at Cape Girardeau.

Joan attended the Church of God in Chaffee.

She was a faithful wife of 43 years to Emmett until his death May 6, 2002.

She made the best chicken and dumplin's ever. She loved her family and friends with a love unparalleled. She will be missed by many.

Loving survivors include a sister, Betty (Robert) Reed of Cape Girardeau; children, William Jay (Angelena) Seabaugh of Scott City, Shauna Watson of Pocahontas, Toby (Becky) Seabaugh of Scott City and Jamie (Ashley) Seabaugh of Jackson; grandkids, Michael, Adrian, Kyle, Jacob, Joshua, Tony, Emilee, Trenton, Adrienna and Elija; and five great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emmett Seabaugh; dear son, Adrian Seabaugh; two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Revs. Greg Pace and Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
