ADVANCE, Mo. -- Karen L. Johnson, 69, of Advance passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was born March 18, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Gene and Betty R. Farrow Robinson. She and the Rev. Wayne Johnson were married June 30, 1972. He passed away Aug. 29, 2005...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Karen L. Johnson, 69, of Advance passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021.

She was born March 18, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Gene and Betty R. Farrow Robinson. She and the Rev. Wayne Johnson were married June 30, 1972. He passed away Aug. 29, 2005.

Karen grew up in Cape Girardeau, graduating in 1969 from Central High School and in 1973 from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree. She retired from Davita Dialysis Center in 2005. Karen loved crafting and spoiling her family.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Kristina (Julian Pawlowski) Johnson of Advance; grandson, Jesse; granddaughter, Kyleigh; great-grandson, Austin; stepmother, Della Robinson; sisters-in-law, Debbie Johnson of Olive Branch, Illinois, and Janifer Robinson of Robinson, Illinois; and brother-in-law, Dan Johnson of Borrego Springs, California.

Also surviving are a nephew, Kevin (Suzanne) Robinson; nieces, Kim Zmolek and Laurinda Marshall; and many longtime family and loved ones in Texas and Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, Terry Robinson.

Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Memorial service will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Bethlehem General Baptist Church, 4471 County Road 379, Whitewater, MO 63785.
