Michelle Stephens, daughter of Linda Barnes of Ellington, Missouri, and the late John Edward Stephens, was born Dec. 15, 1978, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life at her home Monday, March 15, 2021, at the age of 42 years.

Michelle was a home caregiver and a resident of Cape Girardeau.

Besides her mother, survivors include five brothers, John Edward (Lishia) Stephens Jr. of Oklahoma; Tony Stephens of Dexter, Missouri; Terry (Debbie) Stephens of Scott City; Johnny Stephens of Scott City; and Randy Stephens of Cape Girardeau; two sisters Sandy (Dave) McBride of Chaffee, Missouri, and Sue Stephens Webb of Cape Girardeau; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by two nieces, Jennifer Jo Stephens McBride and Stephanie Nichole Webb, and a brother, Joey Stephens.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Memorial service will be at 11: a.m. Friday at the chapel.
