OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Linda Gail Robertson Dowdy, 74, of Olive Branch, passed away at 10 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 3, 1946, at Grand Tower, Illinois, the daughter of Bill and Louise Hatley Robertson. She married Keith Dowdy on Nov. 8, 1963, and he preceded her in death Feb. 6, 1982.

Linda was a full time mom, grandmother and homemaker. She attended Alexander Free Will Baptist Church, enjoyed visiting with friends at the Kozy and enjoyed playing pinochle at the Branch Restaurant.

Survivors include her daughter, Christy of Olive Branch; two sons, Tim (Lisa) of Jackson and Todd (Donna) of Fruitland; six grandchildren, Lance (Amanda) Neal, Aaron (Sabrina) Shockley, Danni (Tom) Goldstein, Blake Neal, Tyler Dowdy and Lexi Dowdy; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Bradshaw of Scott City and Mary Robertson of Harrisburg, Illinois; two brothers, Frank (Michele) Robertson of Phoenix, Arizona and J.R. Robertson of Murphysboro, Illinois; two half-sisters, Laurie Girtman and Marilyn Cripps, both of Grand Tower; two half-brothers, Wesley Robertson of Chester, Illinois and Jeremy Robertson of Anna, Illinois; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings Merle "Duke", Billy, and Mike Robertson, Shirley Wells, Blanch Garms and Donna Lambert.

Visitation for Linda Dowdy was held Monday.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Terry McKee officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery at Villa Ridge, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
