CAMERON, Mo. -- Bradley Eugene Proffer Sr., 69, of Cameron, formerly of Jackson, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Redwood of Cameron Nursing Home.

He was born July 28, 1951, in Crump, son of Otis and Mary Ellen Ervin Proffer. He and Judy Ann Schafer were married in Cape Girardeau.

Bradley was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School, where he was a dedicated wrestler, competing in state meets three years.

In addition to his wife, Judy Ann Proffer of Cameron, loving survivors include a daughter, Angela (Matthew) Artis of Dewitt, Missouri; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Bill (Loretta) Proffer, Bob (Norma) Proffer, Ben (Helen) Proffer, Bernard (Alice) Proffer and Bryan (Barb) Proffer, all of Jackson; three sisters, Brenda Proffer and Barbara Proffer of Jackson and Diane (Joel) Erickson of Spanish Fork, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Mary Ellen Proffer; a son, Bradley Proffer Jr.; and a sister, Betty Proffer.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. Inurnment will be at a later date in Proffer Cemetery in Crump.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of local arrangements.
