Bishop D.W. Randol, 87, of Cape Girardeau went to his reward Saturday, April 3, 2021.
He was born Nov. 9, 1933, at home in East McClure, Illinois, to Earl and Mary Randol.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a celebration of life at 7 p.m., at Calvary United Pentecostal Church, 581 Broadridge Drive in Jackson, where he has been a respected and honored member since his retirement in 2003. The Rev. Ronnie Brown will officiate. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, next to his loving wife of 52 years. You may join the family at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church for the procession.
In over 60 years of ministry, he led five congregations, having started two of them.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Lucille Randol; his parents; nine siblings; and a grandson, Derick Teague.
Survivors include his children, the Rev. Gregory W. (Marilyn) Randol of Muscatine, Iowa, Vicki (Clark) Daniels of Jackson, Cynthia (the Rev. Gary) Teague of Rolla, Missouri, Terry (Nancy) Randol of Cape Girardeau, and the Rev. Gary (Mindy) Randol of Spring Hill, Florida; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Jane) Randol of Canton, Georgia; a host of sons in the Gospel; and many friends.
He was an honorary member of the Missouri District United Pentecostal Church board, having served nearly 40 years as an active and honorary member.
