Cape Girardeau firefighters put out lingering flames in vegetation Monday at 1204 Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau. According to Cape Girardeau Fire Chief Randy Morris, no cause has been determined. He said the fire caught on and burned trash, pallets and vegetation, and was fueled by high winds.
