CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Brian Keith Conklin, 54, of Chaffee died Monday, April 26, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 5, 1967, in Cape Girardeau to Johnny Ray and Virginia Lynn Jarosik Conklin. He married Cori Doogan on Nov. 28, 2008, and she preceded him in death Sept. 22, 2016.

He was a carpenter for Carpenters Local Union 1770. He was a member of Fathers Arms Fellowship in Scott City and St. Louis-Kansas City Regional Council of Carpenters.

He is survived by his parents, Johnny Ray and Virginia Conklin of Kelso, Missouri; a son, Johnny Ray Conklin of the home; five daughters, Paige (Joel St. John) Holder of Scott City; Breanna Rae Conklin of Kelso; and Graycie, Marley and Loren Conklin of the home; three stepchildren, Nick, Brenden and Samantha Joray of Knoxville, Tennessee; two brothers, Chris Conklin of Scott City and Michael Conklin of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Laura Watkins of Scott City; and two grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Oliva Breann Conklin.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Fathers Arms Fellowship church in Scott City.

Funeral service will be 7 p.m. today at the church with the Rev. Kenny Strong officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
