Deborah Ann "Debbi" Sitzes, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Sept. 14, 1953, in St. Louis to James and Lola Maxine Cannon Marsh. She and Rodney W. Sitzes were married July 22, 1989, at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Debbi was a graduate of Pattonville High School in St. Louis.

She worked for Kmart for 27 years and then at Target for 10 years.

She loved being with family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed fishing, reading and watching movies.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney Sitzes of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Amy (Richard) Harrison of Cape Girardeau; stepson, Dustin (Amanda) Sitzes of Cape Girardeau; brother, Rick (Ruth) Marsh of St. Louis; mother-in-law, Evelyn Sitzes of Jackson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Janet Crites of Jackson; sister-in-law, Rita Marsh of St. Louis; and six grandchildren, Zachary Hawkins, Ava, Riley and Holly Harrison and Savannah and Jacob Sitzes.

Debbi was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Hawkins; and brother, David Marsh.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
