Martha Felty

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Martha E. Felty, daughter of the late George Herman McBride Sr. and Juanita Lear Robbins, was born May 23, 1948, in Blomeyer, Missouri, and departed this life at the Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri, Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, at the age of 73 years.

On Jan. 26, 1973, she was united in marriage to Steven Wade Felty. He preceded her in death March 15, 2008.

Martha was a former cook for Chaffee Elementary School and retired from Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee. She was a member of the Chaffee General Baptist Church and Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3127.

Survivors include a son, Steve (Karry) Felty of Chaffee; daughter, Mary Felty of Chaffee; three brothers, George (Suger) McBride of St. Roberts, Missouri; David (Sandy) McBride of Chaffee and George Herman McBride Jr. of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Mitchel Burton, Tucker Burton, Jordan Wilburn, Reece Felty and Cooper Wilburn; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Burton.

Besides her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death a sister, Patty Schmitt.

Memorial graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee with the Rev. Donnie Ford officiating. Interment will follow.

The family has requested that memorials be made to Chaffee Care Portal in Chaffee.
