Elisabeth Augusta Kerr, 89, of Jackson passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at ClaRu Deville Nursing Center in Fredericktown, Missouri. Elisabeth was born Jan. 19, 1932, in Munich, Germany, to Augustin and Kreszentia Radt Roehrl. She and Gale Kerr were married Dec. 28, 1956, in Germany. Elisabeth Augusta Kerr, 89, of Jackson passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at ClaRu Deville Nursing Center in Fredericktown, Missouri.

Elisabeth was born Jan. 19, 1932, in Munich, Germany, to Augustin and Kreszentia Radt Roehrl. She and Gale Kerr were married Dec. 28, 1956, in Germany. Three daughters were born to their union, Monica, Michelle and Monett.

Gale honorably served in the U.S. Air Force over 20 years, so the family was accustomed to living in the U.S. and Europe. Elisabeth and Gale had been married nearly 24 years when Gale passed away Nov. 19, 1980.

While still living in Germany, Elisabeth was trained as a professional seamstress. She also designed garments and did flawless alterations.

Loving survivors include her daughters, Monica (Kenneth) Fluegge, Michelle Kerr Mangrum and Monett Kerr, all of Jackson; two grandsons, Matthew (Whitney) Fluegge and Andrew Fluegge; and great-grandson, Brycen Fluegge.

A memorial visitation will be from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Elisabeth will be laid to rest privately next to Gale at Berrong Cemetery near Zalma, Missouri.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Mac's Mission or Preferred Hospice in Farmington.
