Steven Frakes

Steven Thomas Frakes, 56, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 19, 1965, in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Kenneth R. and Mary Harris Frakes. He married Shirley Vaughn April 17, 2021.

Steve was a graduate of Senath-Hornersville High School in Senath, Missouri. After high school he started a career as an over-the-road truck driver, most recently driving for Genesis Trucking Company in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; daughter, Jennifer (Chuck) Fox; and two grandsons, Jesse and Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 11 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
