ADVANCE, Mo. -- Michael Ray Robins, 71, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 13, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Charles Dee and Lotta Mae Moyer. Michael and Lura Dezina Robison were united in marriage April 22, 1976.
Michael was a lifelong farmer. His famous saying was, "Anyways, trucks are red, tractors are green." He was a board member at MFA Oil and also a member of the Advance Board of Education.
Michael was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church, where he was also a Sunday school teacher and a trustee.
Survivors include his wife, Lura Robins of Advance; three sons, Shannon (Karin) Bollinger and Matthew Bollinger, both of Springfield, Missouri, and Heath (April) Robins of Advance; grandson, Oliver; and two siblings, John (Patricia) Johnson and Larry (Kristi) Robins, both of Advance. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
