FENTON, Mo. -- Bill Ross of Fenton was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Albany, Missouri, to Thornton and Golda Siddens Ross and entered into rest Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, in St. Louis at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 28 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his prior wives, Carol Sue Ross and Betty Jo Ross.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Mouser Ross; four children, Steve (Janet) Ross, Leslie (Ted) McGrath, Larry (Debby) Ross and William (Debra) Ross; nine grandchildren, Rebecca, Andrea, Christina, Jenny, Shannon, Teddy, Sarah, Sam and Nathan; two fostered great-grandchildren, Austin Myers and Mallory Myers; two siblings, Richard Ross and Mary Shepherd; and numerous stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Bill had started the Traffic Control Company in eastern Missouri and ran it for 40 years. He also donated many hours of his time to Shriners Hospital. Bill was also a member of the Freemasons. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation was held Sept. 7 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Kirkwood, Missouri. The Shriner honor guard performed a service followed by a masonic service.

The funeral was held Sept. 8 at the mortuary, followed by internment at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital.
