Virginia Lee Hutson, 93, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at Lutheran Home.

She was born April 28, 1928, in Burfordville, daughter of Arbon and Opal Rhodes Slinkard. She and Robert Odney "Bob" Hutson were married April 27, 1949. They were married 56 years when he passed away July 11, 2005.

Loving survivors include a son, Paul Hutson; daughter-in-law, (the late David) Jackie Huston; and a grandson, Duston Hutson, all of Jackson.

Also surviving are two sisters, Lavern Hobeck of Chester, Illinois, and Sylvia (David) Crites of Sedgewickville, Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Slinkard of Scott City.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Hutson; three brothers, Jimmy, Victor and Larry Slinkard; and two sisters, Virgie Turner and Diane Slinkard.

A private family visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

A graveside service will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to New McKendree United Methodist Church or the donor's charity of choice.
