Daisy Mamie Moore, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Chateau Girardeau. She was born Jan. 11, 1924, to Mary Killian and Jacob Wilfong. She went to school and graduated in Patton, Missouri. She had a boyfriend in the service. When Travis Moore returned home, they were married on Dec. 1, 1946. Her beloved husband preceded her in death May 3, 1990...

Daisy Mamie Moore, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Chateau Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 11, 1924, to Mary Killian and Jacob Wilfong. She went to school and graduated in Patton, Missouri.

She had a boyfriend in the service. When Travis Moore returned home, they were married on Dec. 1, 1946. Her beloved husband preceded her in death May 3, 1990.

Daisy had a wonderful beauty shop career for about 30 years. She retired and started selling real estate for about 30 years. She was very successful, and every time she sold a property, she took a trip. She was a very happy person.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Grace Jacobs; and brothers, Everette, Harley, John and Dewey Wilfong.

Daisy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Donna, Charlotte, Terry (Elaine), Mamie (Gerry), Marilyn (Jim), Mark (Krista), Debbie and Don (Hattie).

Daisy spent 10 years at Chateau Girardeau, and she was very happy with the treatment she received. Thanks to Bill Crabree and Griff for everything you did.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will follow at noon Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
