David Angel Flores, 39, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, at 12:35 p.m. in his home. He was born May 8, 1982, in Dallas, Texas, a son of David and Margie Storz Flores. David Angel Flores, 39, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, at 12:35 p.m. in his home.

He was born May 8, 1982, in Dallas, Texas, a son of David and Margie Storz Flores.

David served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an excellent cook and worked for Broussard's Cajun Cuisine in Cape Girardeau. David was loved by his family and friends. He was a gentle soul, who was known for being kind and generous. He would give the shirt off his back to those who were in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and making tools. David was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother, Margie Storz of Cape Girardeau; his father, David Flores of Dallas, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Joan Pettit of Cape Girardeau; his maternal grandfather, Edwin L. Storz of Edinburg, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Guadalupe Mejia of Dallas; his sister, Katrina Torres of Mission, Texas; his brother, Vincent Flores of Cape Girardeau; four children, David Angel Flores Jr., Mary Rose Flores, Toni Katherine Flores and Landlynn Flores; and numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Florencio Flores Sr., and an uncle, Florencio Flores Jr.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Crain Funeral Home, 829 N. West End Blvd., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
