ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Dale Sidney Dickmann, 89, of St. Charles passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, after many years of cancer-related illnesses. He was a fighter to the end. He was at home surrounded by his three children.
He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria A. McCrome Dickmann; loving father of Mark A. Dickmann, Barbara A. (Craig) Lawson, Beth A. (Michael) Mills and the late David Scott Dickmann; loving grandfather of Jacob, Lucas, Zachary, Megan, Daniel, Cailyn and Gavin; five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Harper, Landon, Logan and Cooper; and friend to many.
Dale served in the U.S. Air Force as a captain and was honorably discharged in 1967.
He married his wife of 52 years in 1955 and had four children. He lived in the St. Louis area since 1966.
Dale was a lifelong accountant, working mostly in the St. Louis area. His last accounting job was for his son's business, where he astounded people with his mastery of the computer and QuickBooks.
His wit, humor, attention to detail, conservative point of view and his wonderful presence will be missed.
No immediate services are planned as he donated his body to Saint Louis University. A memorial service to be planned for a later date.
