JONESBORO, Ill. — Wayne Livesay, 85, of Jonesboro died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at Union County Hospital.

He was born March 25, 1936, in Grand Tower, Illinois, the son of George and Clara Kenney Livesay. He married Barbara Robertson on Dec. 24, 1956, in Jonesboro.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Barbara Livesay of Jonesboro; son, Kevin (Dena) Livesay of Ware, Illinois; grandchild, Brandon Robertson of Ware; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Aubrie, Kinley and Olivia; siblings, Nancy, Pat, Katie and Robert; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dorothy, Ben, Jim, Shirley, Linda, Betty and Bonnie.

Wayne was a member of the Baptist Church.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Masons.

Wayne worked as a truck driver for many years. After his retirement, he worked as a dump-truck and backhoe operator.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jonesboro Cemetery.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the cemetery. Interment will immediately follow.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
