Donn Frederick Meyer, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was the third son, born Feb. 28, 1949, in Topeka, Kansas, to Augie and Nadine Meyer. He and Judy Williamson Beussink were married Nov. 30, 2013, at Jackson.

He received a bachelor's degree from St. Benedict's College in Atchison, Kansas.

Donn worked as a case worker for the State of Missouri Child Support Services. He had previously worked for Bendix in Kansas City.

He attended La Croix United Methodist Church.

Donn enjoyed golfing and walking.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Meyer of Cape Girardeau; stepson, Brett (Jaime) Wise of Boston; three brothers, Carl (Marilyn) Meyer of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Lynn Meyer of St. Joseph, Michigan, and David (Lisa) Meyer of Topeka; sister, Mary (Shawn) Meyer-Paletta of Topeka; two sisters-in-law, Judy Meyer of Pensacola, Florida, and Deborah Meyer of Topeka; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joseph John Meyer, Gregory Meyer and his wife, Margo, and Gene Meyer.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brett Cheek officiating. The family requests COVID protocols be observed. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
