Billy Wayne Williams, 89, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at Monticello House.
He was born June 23, 1932, in Taskee, Missouri, to Shadrach and Ada M. Bennett Williams. He and Mona F. Robinson were married Feb. 4, 1956, at Vancouver, British Columbia.
Billy served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He worked at Procter & Gamble for 20 years, retiring in 1997.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Mona F. Williams of Jackson; two sons, Dale W. (Lisa) Williams and Jimmy E. (Shana) Williams, both of Jackson; five grandchildren, Garrett (Stephanie) Williams, Ashley (Justin) Hoskins, Whitney (Nick) Walker, Derek (Emily) Williams and Jimmy D. Williams; and seven great-grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Randy Riley officiating. Inurnment with full military honors will be at the mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church of Jackson, 212 S. High St., Jackson, MO 63755, or flowers may be delivered to Dale and Lisa Williams, 132 County Lane in Jackson.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
