George "Mac" Miller, 86, of Millersville passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022.

He was born June 11, 1935, son of George and Wilma Hartle Miller. He and Sue Hanners were married Dec. 19, 1974, in Bollinger County, Missouri. They were married over 45 years when she passed away May 7, 2020.

Mac was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Jackson Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve.

Survivors include three daughters, Lori Long (late Paul Hitt), Teressa Mayfield (late Danny Mayfield) and Cheryl (Kevin) Pruitt, and a son, Gerald Sitzes, all of Jackson; sister, Mary (Jack) Randol; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and Sue's brothers and sisters.

Mac was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sue; her brother, Deon Hanners; and his parents.

A burial service for Mac was held Jan. 8 at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. There will be a celebration of life for Mac and Sue to be announced later.
