McCLURE, Ill. -- Debra "Debbie" Seals, 63, of McClure died Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born June 14, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to C.V. and Dorothy Fuller Dunn.

She and Alfred Seals were married June 26, 1976, at McClure Baptist Church in McClure.

Debbie worked for Ratliff Nursing Center, Cape Nursing Center and Saint Francis Medical Center as a housekeeping supervisor and X-ray technician. She also worked for H&R Block and Shawnee High School as unit secretary. She later served as village clerk and treasurer for the Village of McClure and as vice-chairman of the McClure-East Cape Water District.

She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where she was a substitute Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred Seals of McClure; son, Daniel James Seals of Smiths Station, Alabama; three brothers, Richard Dunn, Donnie (Joy) Dunn and Steve Dunn of Cape Girardeau; sister, Sandra Fann of Jackson; and three grandchildren, Landon Drake Seals, Gunner James Seals and Ansley Carr.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Chris and Charlie Dunn; and three sisters, Jean Abbott, Nancy Dunn and Phyllis Marberry.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Burgess officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
