SIKESTON, Mo. -- William Wesley "Billy" Jackson, 62, of Sikeston passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born Oct. 24, 1959, in Potosi, Missouri, to Jessie and Rosey E. Stroupe Jackson. Billy's favorite color was red. He enjoyed fishing, going to dances and playing with baby animals and especially liked to be with his family and friends. Billy is driving his "red" pickup truck all over Heaven now, with his little sister, Fay, riding shotgun...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- William Wesley "Billy" Jackson, 62, of Sikeston passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Oct. 24, 1959, in Potosi, Missouri, to Jessie and Rosey E. Stroupe Jackson.

Billy's favorite color was red. He enjoyed fishing, going to dances and playing with baby animals and especially liked to be with his family and friends. Billy is driving his "red" pickup truck all over Heaven now, with his little sister, Fay, riding shotgun.

Loving survivors include three siblings, Dottie (Robert) Lashley of Jackson, Bessie Jackson of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Jake Jackson of Columbia, Missouri; and a half brother, Donald Lampkey of Boss, Missouri.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Fay Jackson; and a half sister, Betty McDonald.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Apple Creek Presbyterian Cemetery in Pocahontas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to the family to aid with final arrangements or to assist the handicapped.
