He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 21 years, 3 months and 10 days. He served in Vietnam and Korea. His post-military career was with Air Evac Lifeteam for 23 years...

MURRAY, Ky. -- Jimmy Damron, 69, of Murray passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at his home.

He was born Sept. 21, 1952, in Senath, Missouri, to Jimmy Dale and Willie Williams Damron.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 21 years, 3 months and 10 days. He served in Vietnam and Korea. His post-military career was with Air Evac Lifeteam for 23 years.

Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Preceding him in death was his father, Jimmy Dale Damron, and a sister, Regina Damron.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of nearly 25 years, Connie Damron of Murray; his mother, Willie Lawrence of Senath; sons, Jeffrey Damron of Kennett, Missouri; Brad Damron of Clarksville, Tennessee; and Keith Holland (Danny) of Columbia, Missouri; daughters, Jamie Damron (Blake) Brown of Paragould, Arkansas, and Alice Holland of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Steven (Debbie) Damron and Mitchell Damron, both of Lebanon, Missouri; Dale Lynn (Mary) Damron of Kennett, Missouri; and Brian Damron of Kentucky; two grandchildren, Evelyn Damron and Braylen Brown; as well as two loving dogs, Ziva and Henry.

A public visitation and military honors were held Tuesday at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North 4th St., in Murray.
