JoAnn McCrite, 83, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born Aug. 4, 1938, to Charles and Marie Warner Banfield in Cape Girardeau. She married Elvis "Tiny" McCrite on Nov. 2, 1969, in Morley, Missouri, and he preceded her in death Nov. 23, 2000.

JoAnn worked in production at Lee Rowan in Jackson. She loved spending time with family, friends and her loving cats. Her favorite pastime was watching TV, especially "Ancient Alien" Friday.

Survivors include her son, David (Audrey) McCrite of Cape Girardeau; granddaughter, Jasmine Brown of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, Elvis, JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.

A celebration of life will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial service will immediately follow the celebration of life at the funeral home.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Southeast Hospice.
