Shirley A. Friedrich, 97, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Chateau Girardeau.

Shirley was born April 30, 1924, to August and Louisa Schultz Allgaier in Howard, South Dakota. She and George Friedrich were married Aug. 12, 1946, in Littleton, Colorado. He preceded her in death Feb. 17, 2008.

She was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Shirley is survived by four children, Deborah (Clyde) Spurgeon of St. Louis, Elizabeth (Dennis) Overy of Oak Ridge, Robert (Jill) Dix of St. Louis and Thadius Jiles of Wynn, Missouri; and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kelly Friedrich; two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorial donations may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
