George Moit Jr.

BENTON, Mo. -- George B. Moit Jr., son of the late George B. and Betty Lape Moit Sr., was born March 13, 1968, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Friday, April 22, 2022, at his home in Benton at the age of 54.

On Oct. 16, 1992, he married Lisa Flory in Cape Girardeau. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dianne Reagan and Kristy Moit; two sisters, Teresa Ann Jackson of Hayti, Missouri, and Patricia Carnell of Jackson; two grandchildren, Alexis and Kristen; and many nieces and nephews.

Apart from his parents, George was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Sue Schaefer and Betty Sue Moit.

There will be a memorial service scheduled at a later time.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
