Douglas A. "Doug" Boren, 63, of Jackson passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at Southeast Hospital. He and the love of his life, Catherine Quigg, were married in 1984 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. Doug had an endless love for his wife, Cathy. He had a passion for adventures which he shared with his family which he so dearly loved. His heart was as big as the universe, and he touched so many lives with love and a deep sense of humor...

Douglas A. "Doug" Boren, 63, of Jackson passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at Southeast Hospital.

He and the love of his life, Catherine Quigg, were married in 1984 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Doug had an endless love for his wife, Cathy. He had a passion for adventures which he shared with his family which he so dearly loved. His heart was as big as the universe, and he touched so many lives with love and a deep sense of humor.

Doug loved the outdoors. From fishing to pheasant hunting, to the shooting range, if it was outdoors and involved nature, you would find Doug enjoying it. He was a deep music enthusiast and could be found rocking out to music at home or going to concerts. Doug was also a lifetime member of the Boys of Girardeau (B.O.G.).

In addition to his loving wife of 37 years, Doug is survived by two children, Tori (Ryan) Gibson of Cape Girardeau and Dan (Jen) Boren of Gordonville; six grandchildren, Evelyn, Rhys, Jordan, Alyssa, Mason and Izabell; a sister, Vicki Boren of Cape Girardeau; two nephews, Bryan Boren of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lance Boren of St. Louis; and a sister-in-law, Lyris Boren of Buffalo, New York.

A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Doug.
