Monica Lynn Brennecke, daughter of Mark (Tanya) Wasiloski and Judy (Leslie) Strong, was born Feb. 10, 1971, in Peoria, Illinois, and departed her life on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at "Her Happy Place" in Glen Allen, Missouri, at the age of 51.

She was a graduate of Scott City High School.

Monica was purchasing agent for the Community Counseling Center of Cape Girardeau for 24 years. She enjoyed camping and socializing. She was the life of the party, everybody's friend and especially loved spending time with her son and two stepdaughters.

Apart from her parents, she is survived by a son, Cody Brennecke of Chaffee, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Macie (Blake) Mayfield of Jackson and Cori Brennecke of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Pete (Lisa) Wasiloski of Tuscola, Illinois; Lennie (Susan) Strong of Sparland, Illinois; Fred (Colleen) Leuallen of West Peoria, Illinois; and Vince (Shawna) Wasiloski of Trenton, Ohio; two sisters, Lisa (Eric) Scheffert and Lila (Troy) Schmick, both of Dunlap, Illinois; cousin "sister," Kay (Chris) Keller of Cape Girardeau; and special friend, Brian Mashek of Scott City.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Lenz officiating. Interment will follow at the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
