Gayla Jean Blumenberg, 60, of Jackson died Monday, July 18, 2022, at Lansdowne Village in St. Louis. She was born June 22, 1962 in Cape Girardeau, to Elvin William and Linda Lou Willer Blumenberg. She was the salutatorian at Delta High School in 1980. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Gayla Jean Blumenberg, 60, of Jackson died Monday, July 18, 2022, at Lansdowne Village in St. Louis.

She was born June 22, 1962 in Cape Girardeau, to Elvin William and Linda Lou Willer Blumenberg.

She was the salutatorian at Delta High School in 1980. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She was an accountant at the Girl Scout Otahki Council in Cape Girardeau. She attended Cape First Church.

Survivors include her mother; her best friend, her cat, Sammy; brother, Dwayne Blumenberg of The Woodlands, Texas; sister, Gina (Brian) Gehrisch of Cape Girardeau; three nephews who were her pride and joy, Shane, Matthew and Isaiah Demyan.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
