Mildred Eldridge

Mildred Eldridge, daughter of the late Elisha Crumbaugh and Effie Mills Crumbaugh, was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Rockview, Missouri, and departed her life Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau at the age of 91 years.

She was a former hospitality coordinator for Chaffee Nursing Home in Chaffee, Missouri, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Chaffee. Mildred was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a resident of Chaffee.

On Dec. 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Glenn Eldridge in Rockview. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2002.

Survivors include one daughter, Robin (Mark) Graham of Chaffee; her bonus son, Russell Eldridge of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Melony (Jim) Self, Matthew (Jessica) Graham and Brett (Abbigail) Graham; and five great-grandchildren, Matthew Groves, Paizleigh Graham, Haggard Graham, Tessa Graham and Tuller Graham.

Besides her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by two sons, Brad Eldridge and Keith Eldridge; two brothers, her twin Milfred Crumbaugh and Charlie Crumbaugh; and one sister, Ruth Long.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will then be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home, with Pastor Gwen Streeter officiating. Interment will follow in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
