ADVANCE, Mo. — Patrice Lane "Patty" England, 89, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at Aspire Senior Living in Advance.
She was born March 12, 1933, in Bell City, Missouri, to Charles and Willene Overbey O'Mara. She was united in marriage July 1, 1985, with Charles England, who survives of the home.
Patty graduated from Advance High School in 1951 and later worked as a secretary and a home-care aid. She was a sweet and funny woman who was an excellent cook and cared deeply for her family. She loved to laugh and was especially fond of dancing, playing rummy and Elvis Presley.
Patty is survived by her husband, Charles England; daughter, April Hiett McFerron of Advance; sister, Vicki Hansen of Conyers, Georgia; stepson, Mike England of Benton, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Whitney McFerron (Vincent Olivier) of Lille, France, and Matthew McFerron of St. Louis; and two great-grandchildren, Louise and Auguste Olivier of Lille.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Dan Hammack; brother, Danny Hammack; and son-in-law, Paul McFerron.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral will follow immediately after at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Eric Shrum officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Tilman, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Association.
