Jalon Eileen Lies, 60, of Jackson died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 23, 1962, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Alma and Orlan Sauke. She and Daniel Lies were married Aug. 9, 1986, in Waterloo.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and her master's degree from California Baptist University.

She was a teacher at Jackson Junior High School.

Jalon was a Member and co-pastor of Life Church of Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Lies of Jackson; five sons, Daniel (Anastasia) Lies of Mesa, Arizona, Jacob (Harmony) Lies of Austin, Texas, Aaron Lies of St. Louis, Samuel Lies of Mesa and Stephen (Autumn) Lies of Spokane, Washington; two brothers, Jerry Sauke of Janesville, Iowa, and Jonathan Sauke of Belle Plain, Minnesota; sister, Janelle Beck of Waterloo; and two grandchildren, Anberlyn and Silas Lies of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of life will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, with Daniel Lies officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Life Church of Jackson.
