Angie Lynn Perkins peacefully went to sleep for the last time Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at around 7:15 a.m.

Angie was 54 at the time and a resident of Egypt Mills.

She was the daughter of Ronald D. Lohmann and Shirley A. Lohmann, wife of Timothy L. Perkins and mother of Brooke Gantt, Brittany Perkins-Price, Chloe Perkins and Timothy C. Perkins. She also left behind her beloved grandchildren, Shiloh, Caedi, Jonathan, Chase and Geneva. Angie's family were her entire world, very much her inspiration and pushing force in her existing state of affairs.

Angie Lynn Lohmann wed Timothy Lee Perkins on June 5, 1987. They shared 35 enriching, love-filled years together. Being high school sweethearts and getting married straight out of high school means a life of truly growing together. Just imagine all of life's lessons and remarkable memories they shared, in being together so young. It is beautiful beyond words the love, the commitment and the faith they both so eloquently leaned upon.

Angie was well known for her unwavering faith, relentless strength, artistic talent and her way of loving. She had a way of providing empathy and compassion to everyone she reached.

Angie created/owned Egypt Mills Home Decor and More of Cape Girardeau County. She, husband Tim and daughter Brittany had just started getting their new location (Hecht's Home Decor and More) ready in downtown Cape Girardeau. She created beautiful things and also enlightened relationships with those she met through her business.

Artist is one of many ways that Angie will be remembered. She held talent that left many in awe. Angie could paint, craft and create anything she put her mind to. She burst at the seams with ideas and creativity, and had the motivation and drive to accomplish what she set out to do.

Angie gave every ounce of herself to what she believed in. She would donate and give to those she felt compelled to. She always strived to touch hearts and lead souls. Those who knew her would say that she had always been easy to talk to. It was admirable how she could be such a great listener and always have wise and impartial views, while trying to think from everyone's point of view and create a warmth and understanding.

During her last days, husband Timothy said that "Cancer stood no chance against her, she beat it, she kept it at bay ... it took Covid's help ..."

Angie lived her life as a fighter. A strong ambitious woman with the biggest heart. That combination is nearly unstoppable, and she proved it time and again.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at New Lorimer Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with Pastor Fred Burgard officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson was in charge of arrangements.
