Marshall Robert Maxwell, 93, of Jackson passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Cardington, Ohio, to Nathan M. and Cecil Debolt Maxwell. He and Marion E. Fleming were married April 28, 1952. Marshall Robert Maxwell, 93, of Jackson passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Cardington, Ohio, to Nathan M. and Cecil Debolt Maxwell. He and Marion E. Fleming were married April 28, 1952. They had been married 59 years when Marion passed away Oct. 19, 2011.

After high school, Marshall honorably served in the U.S. Navy from April 1948 to November 1949. Thereafter, he attended trade school and studied HVAC. He later taught classes at local trade schools and worked for Trane Co.

Marshall's work took him throughout the U.S., and even to Puerto Rico for a few years. In later years, he and Marion traveled in their RV to check out some of Marshall's projects, see our beautiful country and visit family, and made lots of new friends along the way.

Loving survivors include three children, Debra Maxwell, Donna (Ray) Langford and Dale (Dawnee) Maxwell; grandchildren, Rob (Wayna) Langford, Wendy (Mike) Curran, Jackie (Brian) Dameron, Jamie (Steve) d'Aragon, Michael Maxwell, Dana Snyder, Marsha (Oswaldo) Barrientos and Kyle Snyder; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

The family appreciates memorial contributions to Missouri Veterans Home Foundation.

Private arrangements are by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
