Linda Kesterson

Linda Kesterson, daughter of the late William Joseph and Bertha Agnes Backfisch Glastetter, was born Aug. 8, 1951, in Cape Girardeau and departed her life Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 71.

She was a former employee of Thorngate Ltd., a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri, and a resident of Scott City.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Kesterson, and he survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Alan Kesterson of Jackson and Christopher Kesterson of Fulton, Missouri; daughter, Kimberly (Tim) Renaud of Barnhart, Missouri; two brothers, Edward (Sharon) Glastetter of Scott City and Gary (Brenda) Glastetter of Cape Girardeau; brother-in-law, Butch Bader of Scott City; and five grandchildren, Austin Kesterson, Emily Kesterson, Jordan Renaud, Nick Renaud and Dustin Myer.

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Billy Glastetter, and a sister, Laverne Bader.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
