Comonia Schuessler

UNIONTOWN, Mo. — Comonia "June" Schuessler, 80, of Uniontown passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 14, 1942, in Lixville, Missouri, to Roy and Trula Statler Mouser. She and Charles E. Schuessler were married on May 10, 1969. He preceded her in death Aug. 4, 2017.

Comonia was a dairy farmer and a member of Dairy Farmers of America. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.

Survivors include a son, Craig (Angie) Schuessler of Uniontown; three daughters, Charlene (Josh) Fritsche of Perryville, Missouri, Connie (Mike) Ward of Friedheim and Carol (Joe) Roth of Perryville; sister, Wanda Macke of Arizona; 13 grandchildren, Rachel Fritsche, Emily Fritsche, Dalton Fritsche, Justin Ward, Hailey Ward, Kylie Blessing, Spencer (Katelyn) Schuessler, Kaylin Schuessler, Addison Schuessler, Garrett Roth, Brandon Roth, Alyssa Roth and Luke Roth; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles E. Schuessler; two infant brothers, John and LeRoy Mouser; and one grandson, Trenton Caleb Roth.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation will continue from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, March 24, at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24, at the church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Lutheran Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of choice.
