Lawrence David Hagan, son of the late Omar Hagan and Edna Held Hagan, was born Nov. 20, 1938, in Illmo, and departed his life Friday, April 21, 2023, at his home in Scott City at the age of 84 years.
He was of the Lutheran faith, member of the Army National Guard and former supervisor at Spartech Plastics in Cape Girardeau.
He was first united in marriage to Patricia Ruth Geiser. She passed away Dec. 24, 2001. He was then united in marriage to Carol Joan Lance, and she passed away Feb. 6, 2019.
Survivors include four sons, Lawrence (Tina) Hagan Jr., Brad (Katrina) Hagan, Brian (Kenda) Hagan and David (Sharon) Hagan; two daughters, Elizabeth Turnbow and Susan (Mark) Koerber; one sister, Gussie Essner; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Stan Hagan, and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral will then be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Interment will follow in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
