Doris J Snider, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. She was born March 20, 1936, in Cape Girardeau to the late Elmer H Robinson and Alma L Siemers Robinson. Doris was a 1953 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She and Robert R. Doris J Snider, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born March 20, 1936, in Cape Girardeau to the late Elmer H Robinson and Alma L Siemers Robinson.

Doris was a 1953 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She and Robert R. Snider were married Jan. 25, 1957, in Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

She volunteered many years with the Red Cross, helped with voting polls in town and was a proud member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary No. 3838. When she wasn't volunteering her time, she loved flower gardening, cross-stitching and bowling, including many years in a local bowling league. In their later years, she and Robert enjoyed traveling.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Tina (Mark) Mason of Oran, Missouri, and Dara Kay Snider (Ty Blattner) of Cape Girardeau; brother, Martin "Bud" Robinson of Cape Girardeau; sister, Carolyn White of Cape Girardeau; and granddaughter, Ashley Metje.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert R. Snider; brother, Gerald Robinson; and an infant brother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Short officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to charity or foundation of choice.
