Naomi Whitlock

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Naomi Lucille Whitlock, 73, of Chaffee had her family with her when she passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Naomi was born in Charleston, Missouri, the daughter of the late Virgle and Marcella Simmons Wicker. She and Jack Whitlock united in marriage Jan. 16, 1970, and he passed away Sept. 26, 2012.

Naomi enjoyed her 20-plus years at S&W Cabinets. She loved the people she worked with as much as she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When Jack was alive, they gardened together. They would sit back and watch their garden grow while they enjoyed a cold beer.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Jewel) Whitlock and Paul Whitlock, both of Chaffee; and six grandchildren, Brendon, Ashleigh, Cody, Logan, Sam and Brianna.

Also surviving are her sisters, Debbie Mowery, Kay Wicker and Judy DeMoro; and a stepbrother, Jim Goodson; along with 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Whitlock; a sister; brother; and twin sons, Brad and Jeff.

A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
