Sharon Wickham

Sharon Lee Wickham, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Sept. 21, 1946, in Cairo, Illinois, to James Edward and Ruby Lucille Parnell Patterson. She and William S. Wickham Jr. were married Oct. 17, 1970. He preceded her in death in 2003.

Sharon was a licensed practical nurse. She worked at Southeast Hospital, doctors' offices and Lutheran Home during her nursing career.

She enjoyed reading and family vacations in Florida.

Survivors include two daughters, Bethany (Paul) Wells of Cape Girardeau and Margery (John) Waller of Jackson; and three grandchildren, Paige Wells, Marissa Wells and Aria Waller.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Judith Kay Patterson.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau.

Celebration of life will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the church, with the Rev. Ellen Gurnon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Ford and Sons Funeral Home, 1001 N. Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
