Bill Tinsley

Charles W. "Bill" Tinsley, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Lutheran Home.

He was born Jan. 9, 1935, in Cape Girardeau to William J. and Lorna Luella Rauh Tinsley. He and Brigitta Heinecke were married Nov. 23, 1974, in Cape Girardeau.

He served in the Army National Guard.

Bill was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

He worked for H.C. Cole Milling Co. and Conagra Brands in Chester, Illinois, from 1959 to 1997, retiring as the plant manager of the Conagra facility.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Brigitta Tinsley of Cape Girardeau; son, Charles "Chuck" Curtis (Tiffany) Tinsley of Pevely, Missouri; stepson, Richard Niswonger of Phoenix; daughter, Christina (Bill) Kendig of San Antonio; brother, Dr. Robert C. (Sarah Collins) Hill of Naples, Florida; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private committal service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Missouri Pets, 180 Weston St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
